How it works

1
Plug it in

Under the steering wheel. Thirty seconds, no tools.

2
Drive

It reads six systems and learns what normal looks like for your car.

3
Get the warning

Weeks before a failure, in plain language, with the price.

4
Walk in informed

Hand your mechanic the report instead of describing a noise.

Keep PulsCar plugged in daily, and your car stops breaking down

Left in the port, PulsCar reads 6 systems on every drive, matches engine sound against 200+ failure patterns, and gives you roughly three weeks of warning before a failure. You catch it while the fix still costs hundreds instead of thousands, walk into the shop with your own report, and stop paying for repairs your car doesn't need.*

Your odometer says one thing. Your engine says another.

Mileage is a number someone wrote down once. Car Age is what your car actually does — how it starts cold, how it holds voltage, how it sounds under load, how it heats in traffic. PulsCar turns all of it into one age and shows you exactly which system is pulling it up.

After a month, you'll know your car better than the mechanic who sees it once a year.

Hear something strange? Record 20 seconds and find out what it is.

Any noise that worries you — a squeal on cold start, a knock over bumps, a whine at speed. Pull out your phone and record it. PulsCar matches the sound against 200+ failure patterns and tells you the most likely cause, how urgent it is, and roughly what the fix should cost.

It works on any car, not just yours. Looking at a used one? Record the engine in the seller's driveway and hear what nobody's going to tell you.

Send the result to your mechanic in one tap — the recording, the diagnosis, the fault codes, the history. The conversation at the shop starts with facts instead of "it makes a noise."

Sleep mode draws less than a dashboard clock. Leave it in for months and the car still starts.

Read-only by design. It listens to the diagnostic bus and cannot control brakes, steering or throttle.

Plugging into the OBD-II port is your right, protected by law in the US and EU.

+

A daily forecast across 6 systems: brakes, battery, belts, cooling, transmission and engine. The warning arrives while the part is still cheap.

Critical alerts tell you when to pull over now. 24/7 SOS walks you through the worst ten minutes, step by step.

Hand over your own report. Pay for what your car actually needs, not for what someone decided to add.

One device, endless ways to use it

Fits what you already drive

Any car built after 1996 — OBD-II, which is 99% of what's on the road. Unplug it, move it to another car, and it re-pairs in seconds while keeping a separate history for each.

See how it's driven when you're not in it

Add every driver in the house. Harsh braking, overheating, hard cold starts — you see it on one dashboard, and so do they.

Check it before you pay for it

Two minutes in the seller's driveway tells you what the seller won't. The codes, the engine sound, the real wear.

Still have questions?

Will it fit my car?

If your car was built after 1996 it has an OBD-II port — that's 99% of cars on the road. The scanner plugs into it under the steering wheel. No tools, no wiring.

Will it drain my battery?
+

No. The scanner sleeps when the engine is off and draws less than your dashboard clock. You can leave it in for months.

Will it void my warranty?
+

No. The OBD-II port is there for diagnostics, and your right to use it is protected by law in both the US and EU. The scanner is read-only — it cannot control anything in your car.

Do I need to know anything about cars?
+

No. Instead of "P0301" the app says: misfire in cylinder 1, most likely a spark plug, around $60, safe to drive but don't put it off.

How does it predict a failure?
+

It compares your car against itself — yesterday, last month, last year. Deviations show up long before symptoms do, and that's where the warning comes from.

What if I sell the car?
+

Unplug it, plug it into the next one. Your membership follows you, not the car, and the new car starts its own history.

Does it need my phone while I drive?
+

No. The scanner records on its own and syncs when your phone is nearby.

What about my data?
+

Your car's data is yours. Export or delete it at any time. We don't sell it.

Can I cancel?
+

Anytime, right from the app. Your access runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing renews after that.

Your car is already telling you what's wrong. Start listening.

The scanner is included. Setup takes 30 seconds. No contract — cancel from the app whenever you want.

Additional Information:
1. Health Score, Car Age & Rate of Wear: These features are informational only. They are not a diagnosis and are not a substitute for inspection by a qualified technician.
2. Sound Check: Sound Check returns the most likely match from PulsCar's pattern library with a confidence score. It is a probability, not a verdict, and accuracy depends on recording conditions. Always confirm safety-critical findings in person.
3. Predictive forecasts: Mileage and time estimates are projections based on your car's observed data and change as conditions change. They are not a guarantee that a part will or will not fail before that point.
4. Critical alerts and SOS: PulsCar is not an emergency or roadside assistance service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. SOS content is general guidance only.
5. Safety-critical systems: For anything involving brakes, steering, or overheating, PulsCar will always tell you to stop and have the car inspected in person. Do not delay an inspection based on a PulsCar reading.
6. Repair cost estimates: Estimates are based on regional averages and are not a quote. Actual prices vary by shop, region, parts availability, and vehicle condition.
7. Recall tracking: Recall data is sourced from public manufacturer and regulator databases and may lag or be incomplete. Always confirm open recalls with a franchised dealer.
8. Compatibility: PulsCar requires an OBD-II port — standard on cars sold in the US from 1996, on EOBD petrol cars in the EU from 2001 and diesel from 2004. Some manufacturer-specific data is not available on every make.
